Hello my lovelies, today I’m talking to Zoe, 33 year old teacher from Bristol. She lives with her husband and works as a blogger. Zoe talks about how she’s worked with Jack Wills and how Bobbi Brown is her favourite beauty brand.
What were you doing before blogging and how did you get in to it?
I always loved to read other people’s blogs and was obsessed with Instagram. One day I just thought “Maybe I should give this a go?” and I took the plunge! I’ve always enjoyed writing as I did an English degree and had the passion for taking pretty pictures too – blogging combined both of those loves!
Whats the best thing you’ve done so far within your blog?
I loved working with Jack Wills to style one of their trench coats!
Who is your biggest influence?
There are so many bloggers I look up to such as Wish Wish Wish, Shiny Thoughts, Hunters and Heels, Brick Dust and Glitter and Roses & Rolltops.
What do you do in your spare time?
My hubby and I are both movie geeks so the cinema is our number one date, I love to plan travel adventures (I’ve had quite a few epic USA road trip holidays!) I read as much as I can (blogs and books) and of course catch up with friends and have dinner!
What is your favourite and least favourite part about blogging?
My favourite thing is discovering new brands that I may not have heard of without blogging and supporting local businesses. The least favourite is when technology makes life harder – nothing like writing a fab blog post and then losing it all, or editing photos and then accidentally deleting them – argh!
Favourite beauty brands?
Bobbi Brown – I love their natural style.
What one product couldn’t you live without?
Black liquid eyeliner – I swear by Makeup Forever, its the most waterproof line I’ve ever used and doesn’t budge!
Three words to describe you?
Organised, chatty and a bit of a geek!
How would you describe your personal style?
City meets country chick! I love a striped breton!
Drugstore or high-end girl?
Since planning and doing my own wedding makeup recently – high-end all the way! The quality is on the whole so different!
Best advice to bloggers.
You do you! The reason why people follow you is because you are unique – don’t try to be like anyone else!
Thanks for reading my lovelies, tune in tomorrow for my interview with Laura Campbell (onecocktailatatime)
