Hello my lovelies, today is moving day. I’m so excited and I can’t wait to show you all our new flat, so keep an eye out on Instagram. Today I’m talking to 23-year-old, Yella, from Cologne, in Germany. She just started a new degree after studying psychology for quite some time. Now she’s at law school, but plans on finishing the psychology degree alongside law in the long run. Yella also works at a radio station and loves taking photos and of course writing for her blog. Busy, busy, busy. Yella talks about the great friendships she’s made through blogging and how she can’t live without her Olympus Pen.What were you doing before blogging and how did you get in to it?
At this point blogging for me is solely a hobby. So before I started I was just another millennial minding my own business, with a love for photography and too much on my mind and therefore I needed a creative outlet. I loved reading blogs and engaging with others, mostly bloggers, on twitter so one day I decided to buy a domain and just start.
Whats the best thing you’ve done so far within your blog?
The best thing about blogging for me are the amazing people I met through it. I’ve built some great friendships and found girls I can talk to about anything. I’ve even traveled to London to meet up with some of them and it was one of the best things I ever did, I can’t wait to see them again!
What do you do in your spare time?
At the moment I don’t really have any spare time tbh as I just started my new degree and work loads alongside that. But if I find some time to relax I love doing things for my blog or social channels, have a browse through twitter and if I’m feeling super crazy I’ll even go to the gym.
What is your favourite and least favourite part about blogging?
I hate that I often feel like I don’t have enough time to put into it as I would like to and my content especially the consistency really suffers from that.
My favourite thing is that my blog is my own little space where I can say, write and do whatever I want. There are no limits regarding creativity and no rules you have to follow.
Favourite beauty brands?
I love NYX, especially their lip products and The Body Shop for skin care. I’m currently planning a whole post about how gorgeous their stuff is.
What is a typical day in your life?
I don’t really have a routine that I stick to for more than 2 minutes really. I’d love to try to come up with one as it would make my life so much easier but haven’t found one that fits perfectly yet.
What one product couldn’t you live without?
Currently my new Olympus Pen Camera which is absolutely amazing and totally worth the hype. Oh, and my laptop, that thing has my whole life on it!
Three words to describe you?
Thoughtful, passionate, honest.
How would you describe your personal style?
Changing between IDGAF to full on glam in under 10 minutes.
Drugstore or high-end gal?
I love a little mixture of both.
Best advice to bloggers?
Concentrate on your content, stay out of the drama and don’t do things just because everyone else is doing them.
Thanks for reading my lovelies, tune in tomorrow for my interview with Scarlett Dixon aka Scarlett London.
