Behind the Screen of Pia Woodvine
Hello my lovelies, today I’m talking to 22 year old who moved to Hackney to assist a stylist on a freelance basis. It’s a big risk but Pia states it was too good of an opportunity to pass up on and it’s given her the push she needed to put 110% into her dream career.

Who is your biggest influence?

In terms of influencing how I live my life, it has to be my mum. She’s been through some real tough shit and it’s only made her stronger, kinder and more loving. As for creative influences it’s too hard to pin on just one person, I take inspiration from different people, places, films, music etc. for different things. Although that said, my best friend @IndiaMoon_ inspires me every day with her work ethic, drive and determination.

Best advice you’ve ever been given?

Literally THE MOST cliche saying ever, I know.. but less is more – I apply this to both make-up and outfits in regards to the whole look. (You can never have too many eye/ lip combos or trainers!)

What do you do in your spare time?

Over the past couple of years I’ve really got into the gym, so here’s another all-too-common phrase it but it’s true – working out really helps with my mental health. Binge watching series on Netflix in bed is my favourite down-time! I love reading fashion + lifestyle magazines like Boys By Girls, kinda helps keep my head in creative/ work-mode.

Favourite beauty brands?

The Ordinary for my skincare – definitely worth the hype!!! And Glossier for their make up. A combination of the both is a perfect recipe for low-maintenance, natural and glow-y looks.

What is a typical day in your life?

At the moment it’s early starts, work, gym and bed – with the occasional pub session thrown in (it’s all about living a balanced lifestyle right?!) To be honest, I’ve become a creature of habit and routine whilst the rest of my life has been a little out of control in the past. But I’m about the switch that up once I leave my current role and move to London. Change can be healthy – I’m still shitting myself though!

What one product couldn’t you live without?

My Glossier Boy Brow, even if I have no other product on my face I feel so much more comfortable and confident with bold, face-framing brows.

Three words to describe you?

Napper (I can nap anywhere, any time and I don’t even have to be that sleepy), understanding, chilled

How would you describe your personal style?

A mixture between Scandi and Parisian style, with a boyish influence.
