Welcome back my lovelies to the third episode of Behind the Screens. Today we unravel the girl behind Kate Rose Beauty. 17 years old, from Bristol and currently studying travel and tourism at college. Kate talks about how she can’t live without her phone and watching Love Island reruns.
What were you doing before blogging and how did you get in to it?
I started blogging about 2 and a half years ago and was in my final year of high school. Probably spending more time on blogging rather than revising than I should’ve been!
I think we’ve all been guilty of that haha!
What’s the best thing you’ve done so far within your blog?
The best thing that I’ve done through blogging so far is probably going to an event and getting to meet like-minded people, who I now call friends that I’ve only met through blogging.
What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time I’m either blogging, taking photographs for blog posts or Instagram, doing college work, going to the gym or shamelessly watching Love Island reruns.
There is no shame in watching reruns of Love Island girl!
What is your favourite and least favourite part about blogging?
My favourite part of blogging is definitely the friendships I’ve made through it. It’s crazy to me that I have so many good friends now that I’d never of known if it hadn’t been for me starting this little creative outlet a few years ago.
The worst part is probably the spam, incredibly insulting in regards to payment emails that arrive in my inbox on the daily.
Favourite beauty brands at the moment?
My favourite beauty brands at the moment are definitely Makeup Revolution which is always a fave, MAC for my foundation and Rimmel for a good lipstick.
What one product couldn’t you live without?
One product I couldn’t live without is, and I’m sad to admit it, my phone. I’m just so used to having it and it’s such a big part of promoting and interaction for my blog, that really is a must!
Drugstore or high-end gal?
A few years ago if you’d asked me this I’d have said high-end. However, as someone who’s much more careful with their money now, I’m a drugstore girl through and through.
Best advice to bloggers.
My best advice to bloggers is blog for you. Blog about whatever it is you want to blog about, even if it isn’t the popular thing to write about. You’ll only regret it in the end if you don’t stay true to yourself and write about what you want to write about.
Thanks for reading my lovelies. Tune in tomorrow for my interview with Kaye Ford.
