Hello my lovelies, today I’m talking to Brighton hairdresser, Jade Baker. Jade talks about the positive change she sees in her customers and her favourite go to hair treatment.
What were you doing before hairdressing and how did you get in to it?
I started hairdressing when I was at school, I started college when I was 15 and fell in love with making people feel beautiful and confident.
Whats the best thing you’ve done so far within your hairdressing days?
I have been put out for a few competitions including colour technician of the year and masters colour specialist, which I find out the results this month eekk
Best advice you’ve ever been given?
To work as hard as you can & let your work speak for itself
What do you do in your spare time?
I have two little dogs which are my babies I love to take them out for walks in the country and go exploring but when you run your own business you don’t have a lot of spare time so I spend most of my time working whether it’s in the salon or on social media.
What is your favourite and least favourite part aboout hairdressing?
I love the confidence a new hair colour or cut can give someone and can compelely change the way they feel about themselves. No bad parts.
What one product couldn’t you live without?
I cannot live without my L’Oréal Smart bond, this is a strengthening system which helps to any damage caused by colouring this goes into your colour, at the basin and a take home treatment.
Trialled and tested by me, it works people!
Drugstore or high-end gal?
Definitely a drugstore girl, when it comes to my colours & stock I’m for sure high-end as I will only use the best products for my clients but when it comes to make up, hairspray ect drugstore for sure.
Best advice to hairdressers?
Everyone is different, there is no right or wrong to hairdressing you will adapt your own style of work and that is why people will love what you do. Don’t ever be afraid to show who you really are or what your really about, this is why I love the industry.
Thanks for reading my lovelies, tune in tomorrow for my interview with Yella Hawk.
