Hello my lovelies, today I’m talking to Annaleid, the owner of Actually Anna. 26 years old master student in Human Movement Science (Sport Science). She graduated in June and now she’s working in a real ‘adult job’. Annaleid talks about who her biggest influence is and how she can’t live without coffee. I can’t say I agree on the coffee part, sorry coffee lovers!
What were you doing before blogging and how did you get in to it?
Before I started blogging I’d just finished my bachelor degree in Physical Education and started my masters degree in Human Movement Science. I really missed a creative outlet and I had thought about blogging for a long time. I was very scared to put myself out there, so It took a long time before I actually had the confidence to do so. I think that was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!
Whats the best thing you’ve done so far within your blog?
I think, besides working with brands and now making videos for Emani Vegan Cosmetics Benelux, which is amazing don’t get me wrong, I think the overall best thing that has happened to me due to blogging is making new friends and the amazing positive responses I get on my blog!
Who is your biggest influence?
I think my family, friends and boyfriend have a big influence on me and I’m also following a lot of big YouTubers like Lily Pebbles, I covet thee, Zoella, PointlessBlog, FashionMumblr, Lydia Elise Millen and so many more I’m probably forgetting right now.
Best advice you’ve ever been given?
If you have a fear, go face it and it probably won’t be as bad as you thought it would be.
What do you do in your spare time?
Besides blogging in my spare time I love playing the piano and gain more skills regarding blogging (photography, social media marketing, etc.).
What is your favourite and least favourite part about blogging?
My favourite part about blogging is definitely creating content! I love the whole process starting with an idea and bringing that idea to life! The least favourite thing about blogging is I think maybe the follow/unfollow thing on social media, but I try to keep myself out there and not focus on the numbers.
Favourite beauty brands?
Emani Vegan Cosmetics, Bourjois, L’oreal Paris, Dr. Spiller, The Ordinary and I’m probably forgetting a lot more brands I’m loving at the moment.
What is a typical day in your life?
Spend time on blogging/YouTube/social media and I usually try to exercise in the evening (barre class, pilates or yoga). So the days are quite hectic at the moment, but I try to make time for myself in the evenings.
What one product couldn’t you live without?
Oef that’s a hard one… I think that would be coffee as badly as that is.. I really can’t live without coffee!
Three words to describe you?
Spontaneous, nosy and dedicated.
How would you describe your personal style?
I would say clothing wise my style is casual chique. If you look into my studio I’d describe my style as cosy and warm.
Drugstore or high-end gal?
Both I think you need to know where to invest you money and where to save! I know there are lots of YouTube videos and blog posts written about this topic, but I might do one about that too. I think everyone has a different opinion about products and every country has slightly
Best advice to bloggers?
Write with passion and about the topics that are close to your heart!
Thanks for reading my lovelies, tune in tomorrow for my interview with Rebecca Faye.
