Hello my lovelies, today I’m talking to 24 year old, girly girl Sarah from Staffordshire. She currently works full time as a Medical Secretary. Writing has always been a passion of Sarah’s but she has never had the confidence to pursue it or put herself out there before now. Sarah talks about how her boyfriend is her biggest influence and how the pressure for views and likes sometimes gets too much.
What were you doing before blogging and how did you get in to it?
I got into blogging originally when a work colleague told me about it because she has a blog and finds writing an escape, as do I. I love photography, writing and chatting to like-minded people. I do feel like most people my age are all about going out clubbing and drinking which I can’t say has ever overly appealed to me.
Who is your biggest influence?
My biggest influence would have to be my boyfriend, we have been together for two years this month and he genuinely is the most supportive person I know. He believes in every dream that I have no matter how far-fetched it seems. On my negative insecure days he always tells me to “stop being nasty about his girlfriend” he really is just the sweetest!
What is your favourite and least favourite part about blogging?
My favourite thing about blogging would have to be getting to write again and talking to some great bloggers who are really lovely people.
My least favourite thing about blogging would have to be the pressure to get so many views, followers and likes. When it comes down to it we all need to remember that whether we have 2 likes or 200 these are still people that we have reached who enjoyed our posts. If my self-love post or advice to my high school self post has helped someone struggling then I couldn’t wish for anything more.
How would you describe your personal style?
In terms of personal style I am quite petite so you will mainly see me in skinny jeans and cute tops. More recently in the summer months I am loving high waisted skirts with an off the shoulders top. My main places to shop are Topshop, Asos, Missguided and Miss Selfridge. As much as I love nice clothes you would also be likely to find me in a onesie and my comfies as soon as I’m in for the night!
Three words to describe you?
Ditsy, loyal and honest
Thanks for reading my lovelies, tune in tomorrow for my interview with Plain Sarah Jayne.
