It’s the 7th of September and I don’t know where this year has gone. I’m nearly back at Uni for my third year which means autumn is here and winter is approaching. This means its time to wrap up warm in our favourite comfy clothes. Sorry, for all the people still holding on to the fact that summer has just been and doesn’t want to let go. For me, I’m actually quite excited for colder days, it just means candles, jumpers, coats, hot chocolates, blankets. All the good things to come. Today I’m looking in to what is the perfect autumn coat. Just so you are aware all the photographs in this blog post are from their websites, but I’m sure you would have figured that all out. Moving on…
First we have this gorgeous teddy coat from I saw it first, it comes in pink and beige but just look at it. The perfect coat for the extremely cold days and hell you’re gonna look stylish too. For £65 I don’t think this is a bad price for an autumn coat that’s going to last. You could pair it with a dress, tights and boots, or jeans and a jumper. Anything will go, which is what makes this coat my perfect coat for autumn.
We then have a very similar coat, but if you don’t dig the fur and are afraid that when it rains you will look like a wet dog then this would be better for you. This hooded jacket keeps you warm, whilst providing you with a much more casual style to your outfit. At £40 its a lot cheaper than my first pick, but it all depends on personal preference and what style you want to go for.
We then have this retro inspired coat from Topshop, which looks perfect with the outfit the model is wearing, although personally I wouldn’t pair it with that patterned, bright red jumper. For me, it doesn’t go. However, I would pair it with a high neck jumper and skirt with boots like the models wearing or knee-high boots. Who doesn’t love a knee-high boot? The only problem I have with these coats is where I’m 5 ft 2, yes I’m small. We over it. Cool. They swamp me, like I know I’m small but these make me look like I’m 2 ft off the ground. These do make lovely coats and do elongate people’s legs who are of a much taller height. At £79 its much pricier but hey coats last you forever right.
Now I love the style of puffer jackets so this one caught my eye on Pretty Little Thing. Its short, tick. Its warm, tick. Its waterproof, tick. What more could you want. You could pair it with leggings/joggers and a crop top and you would still look like the coolest kid on the block. Okay forget I said that, that never happened, but you know what I mean. It also comes in blue, black, pink, grey and red. I mean £28 needs to be transferred in to my account so this coat can be in my autumn staples.
