To dry or not to dry?

To dry or not to dry?

Hello my lovelies! I hope everyone’s bank holiday was lovely, the weather sure was right for BBQS and the beach! Today I’m talking about two products that I got kindly sent, ‘The Australian BodyCare Tea Tree Oil Skin Wash’ and the ‘What’s in it for me Body Cream’. I have very dry skin, I used to have eczema as a child so anything that hydrates my skin is such a bonus for me. So these products sounded amazing for me, but here’s my results.

I was so intrigued to try this skin wash from Australian BodyCare. It claimed to be antiseptic and non-drying, however it did contain tea tree oil. Confused was the answer. Tea tree is known for being drying, usually for spots to dry them out in order to spot further break outs. So the fact that it claimed to be non-drying was interesting to say the least.

I have to say first of all the packaging is super cute, blue is my favourite colour and this was a gorgeous baby blue colour. The design was simple but very cute.
When I first squeezed this out it came out like a watery serum, like any skin wash but as you started to rub it in, it lathered up. It lathered up really nicely and the smell of tea tree was very strong. Thank god I like the smell! I have to say my skin felt really soft when using it, but later on once I had washed it off the results were different. My skin felt very dry, if I’m honest I wasn’t surprised. Tea tree oil is known for drying. I was really sad as I wanted to like this product especially with the effects that tea tree oil give. Unfortunately this wasn’t for me.

First of all, the packaging is really simple but the wording definitely makes up for that. It tells you exactly what’s in the cream which I always love knowing. I have sensitive skin so I always want to know what’s going on my skin before using it. I do have to say this cream smells amazing, I could really smell the jasmine in it. I love it.
The formula was thick but didn’t feel heavy on my skin, which is always a plus. This cream is now definitely one of my go to when after I’ve had a bath or shower. This hydrated my skin so much and it left it feeling silky smooth. I would definitely recommend this body cream for anyone with dry skin. My skin felt amazing. I will 100% be purchasing from this brand.

So to dry or not to dry? The question has been answered.

Thanks for reading

I also used to have eczema as a kid so I may have to use this! Great post, it’d mean a lot if you checked out my recent post too! X
