Maybelline Dream Satin Foundation Review

Maybelline Dream Satin Foundation Review

ABOUT

I’ve never tried any of Maybellines foundations, I know they were popular back when I was younger in school. That seems like ages ago I was in school and I’m only 20 haha. However, I was really intrigued by the dream satin foundation. I don’t know if it was the word dream drawing me in or the potential of a healthy, glowing complexion after but something made me buy it. I swear mum, there was a reason for my purchase ahah. The foundation states that it gives you silky, medium coverage but doesn’t clog your pores. Thats the worse when foundations sink in to your pores and hello, everyone knows that your skin is about to get a whole lot worse haha. On the bottle it states a 10 hour wear, well lets find out shall we.

Foundation Summary

  • Medium Coverage
  • Dewy / Radiant Finish
  • Liquid Foundation
  • Light Weight
  • Blends easily
  • For Normal / Dry Skin
  • Contains Hyaluronic Acid (GOOD FOR SOME SKIN TYPES)

Overall Thoughts

This was an interesting foundation for me because it was for normal to dry skin so for one I picked a foundation that I knew wouldn’t work with my skin type (combination). Well done Soph. So scrap that side of it, I went oily and it didn’t last 10 hours, it didn’t even last 8 before I was looking like a melting barbie doll. That isn’t the foundations fault it is entirely mine for occasionally liking a dewy finish. I didn’t test this with powder on as I wanted to test the foundation for what it was so maybe with a little help of powder it would last longer. Would I recommend it, not for people with combination / oily skin but hell yeah for normal to dry skin. This baby is going to keep your skin looking fresh in the winter.

As always thanks for reading and I’ll see you on Thursday for my blogging advice part 2.

This sounds good but it probably wouldn’t work with my skin as I have quite oily skin! I used to use the dream matte mouse which I believe is Maybelline when I was in the lower half of secondary school I feel like a lot of people used to use it around that age!

Thanks for reviewing this as i have oily skin so I’m assuming it definitely wouldn’t work!! If you’ve never tried Maybelline foundations before, i would definitely recommend the ‘Fit me’ foundation. they have a dewy and a matte one, the Matte one is sooooo good!

This is a helpful review on this Maybelline Dream Satin foundation. I have oily skin, so like you I guess it won’t work for me. I’ve been using the FitMe foundation though & it seems to work just fine on my skin, like this one it gives medium coverage and I love how it lasts for hours! You have to try that one. xx

This also wouldn’t work for me. I don’t really use lot of foundation, but if I do, I use Vichy dermablend. It stays on, it covers everything I want perfectly. Have you tried it yet?

Great post, this is something I started out with years ago but I much prefer using mineral powder foundations as they’re not so heavy on the skin and don’t give me as many break outs xx
