Hello my lovelies, I really need to think of a new name to say because I swear down I do not use the word ‘lovelies’ in person. It’s like a blogging spell, I just automatically say it in blogging and on Instagram. God! Anyway, again I am super late to the band wagon but if you want my opinion on the Revolution Fast Base Foundation Stick, please keep reading.
Product Details –
I only purchased one of these sticks as the colours Superdrug had in store were too dark to contour my skin with. I picked up the shade F2 and as I have the concealers I was expecting high things. A supply of 18 shades is amazing so well done Revolution. The formula is so creamy and literally blends like a dream.
I applied primer to the left side of my face to see if there was a difference and there was. With the prime side I used a buffing brush and it created this beautiful, natural finish which is easily buildable. However, the unprimed side I applied with a sponge which created medium to full coverage. I preferred the unprimed side for coverage but the primed side for the finish. However, like I said its buildable and wont look caked. The finish is a dewy, fresh look which you guys may think I don’t like as if you’ve been here from the start before I was self-hosted you will know I have oily/combination skin. I don’t rule out dewy finishes in a foundation as truthfully it all depends on what my skin feels like doing that day haha. I’ve worn this foundation all day and it looks exactly the same as before, a little separation on the nose but hello oily skin!
Packaging and Price –
I fell in love with the packaging, I mean who doesn’t love rose gold. Even my phone is rose gold! Super slim, easy to pop in your hand bag if you ever need to top up, but I highly doubt you will need to. All for the price of five fricking pounds. Literally, Revolution you are killing it at the moment.
Overall, you need to try this foundation if you haven’t already. Even if you do have oily/combination skin this could work for you. It is £5 you are not going to regret spending, I promise you that.
