Hello my lovelies, so for two weeks I have been really adamant that I shall not put anything on my eyes as I get eczema on my eyelids and it hurts a lot so all I’ve been doing is base. I’ve kind of been digging the natural look though but I have missed doing wacky eyeshadow looks. Safe to say I am all better now, my eczema cream saves my life once again! I can finally put this product to the test and my views are mixed. I’m sorry I know there is so much hype around this and it is amazing but I do have a few negatives to say which saddens me as Benefit are one of my favourite brands to date.
Product Details –
The mascara states that it lasts for 36 hours creating massive volume without weighing down your eyelashes. All those statements get a tick off me, however I do have one bad thing to say about the 36 hour comment. It stays on your lashes for so long that even after taking off my makeup and cleansing, the next morning I still have traces of it under my bottom lashes. I wake up with panda eyes and who wants that?! Please, if you have solved this issue let me know in the comments below. The volume however is so great to the point that I put a false pair of eyelashes on and I didn’t need them as my lashes were the same length. WHAT?! The only other slight thing that annoys me when applying on my bottom lashes is it easily transfers and then I have to re-do my concealer under my eyes and it’s just annoying. If you have a way to fix this let me know, and yes I’ve tried baking too! The formula is so clever in this mascara, well it should do it took four years to make haha. It was worth the wait though. The formula contains aero-particles, one of the lightest known materials, derived from space technology. It also contains ProVitamin B5 which is known to fuel thickness and strength. This is probably the most scientific product I own haha. Although on that point I still have no idea why the aero-particles are within the product but nonetheless it makes the product insane so put it in everything haha!
Packaging and Price –
The packaging is super cute, with pink, black and white as its main colours they go really well to stand out the empowering title of the product. Its plastic bristle brush is streamlined to reach root to tip, corner to corner, and both lower and upper lashes which I agree on. The brush is really handy for the tiny parts of your lashes that are just so hard to normally get to when using a voluminising mascara as the brush is so thick. At £21.50, an average price for a high-end mascara, I definitely think its worth a shot even with the couple minor negative things I picked up on, it does make your eyelashes look insane. It doesn’t clump either which is a massive cringe of mine, as that’s the worst thing to see is eyelashes stuck together in black lumps of mascara. EW.
Overall, I love this mascara but it does have tiny faults but hey that may be because of the way im applying or not setting my face properly. There are definitely drugstore mascaras that I love just as much but I’m not saying I hate it. Does that even make sense haha.
Thanks for reading and see you on Wednesday for my next post.
