Hello my lovelies, wow so it feels like a long time since I sat at my desk and wrote a post. Life just got in the way and I had to focus on that. Now ages ago over on my Instagram I said I was going to do a review on the L’oreal Paris infallible shaping stick foundation (god that’s a mouthful). Yes I know I’m late to the party. However, if you would still like to read my opinion please continue.
Product Details –
I purchased three different sticks. One for foundation, one for contour and one for highlight. SPOILER ALERT! I only liked one out of the three. It is stated that this foundation is meant to last 24 hours, however, due to my oily t zone this was not the case. Although if you have dry skin I say this would be perfect for you. The formula is really creamy and I would this is medium to full coverage . Although it states to be a matte finish, I have to say I didn’t find this at all. By the end of the day I felt like an oily mess and yes I did powder to death haha.
Contour shade –
I picked up a darker colour in order to contour and yes this is my favourite stick out of the three. The formula of course is super creamy which makes this super easy to blend out. I’ve used a sponge and a buffing brush to blend this and both have worked perfectly. The colour is perfect for my skin tone too.
Highlight shade –
Out of the three this was the worst one. I felt that when applying this straight to my face that it was just wiping off the coverage I had just built up. Even when I tried it with a sponge or a brush nothing was coming off the product. I was really disappointed as the colour looked like it had potential to be a glowing goddesses dream.
Packaging and Price –
The packaging is plastic but you know what I actually don’t mind that. I’m always dropping my makeup, so having a product made of plastic is a safety guard for me. At £8.99 this is a reasonable price and when I purchased them there was an offer on for 3 for 2. Bargain!
Overall, I would have to say this isn’t a massive fail of a purchase. I love and use the contour stick every day, the foundation stick is the perfect colour for me and maybe in winter when my skin is dry it will work. For now that one can stay in the drawer along with the highlight stick. No need to say anything on that front.
Anyway, thanks for reading my lovelies and I hope you all enjoy the posts I have lined up for you. Watch out for my review on Sunday about Benefit Bad Girl Bang mascara.
