Hello my lovelies, happy Thursday! I feel this week is dragging, I don’t know whether it’s the amount of stress from uni or the excitement that I am going to Berlin next week and I want it to be now! Today I am talking about my monthly favourites, a mixture of skincare, haircare and makeup. So, lets begin…
I have been loving this moisture bomb from Garnier. I discovered this beauty after running out of my overnight serum from Nip and Fab, I was on a budget and I knew I loved their moisture bomb face masks so I decided to give this night cream a go. OMG, it makes my skin feel super soft and its so cooling on your skin not only does it calm my redness but it actually calms me down as a person as it makes me so relaxed. It smells of pomegranates which is amazing too. For £5.29 reduced from £7.99 this is a bargain!
I love tea tree, it is the god of products when reducing spots and fading acne scars. I’ve always used The Body Shop oil and it works wonders. However, I received this tea tree oil and tea tree blemish stick in a PR package and I was super excited to try it. I’ve only been using this for the last two weeks of January but I had to include it as it also works wonders too! Tea tree oil is a blessing sent from heaven! I do prefer the oil to the blemish stick as I don’t know why but I have a weird thing about blemish sticks. I personally feel because you aren’t pouring the oil out and dabbing it on places that its needed, instead your rolling it on each spot I feel it just contaminates your skin more. I dunno, it’s probably not true but it’s just a weird thing I have about them. Sorry guys haha.
So I got sent this product and I’ve only used it a couple of times but I had to include it because after months of suffering with dry and damaged hair this has revitalised my curls as well as restore smoothness and softness. It is amazing! I really struggle with frizz because my natural hair is super curly so this is a god send! Thank you John Frieda. For £4.59 in Superdrug I will definitely be purchasing this for myself after this tub has run out.
I love a full coverage foundation, for the longest time I’ve been in love with Estee Lauder Double Wear but my poor uni bank account can’t afford it (silent tears). However, so many people were telling me that Revlon did a dupe and of course I jumped at the idea and went and bought it. Revlon Colourstay is full coverage, it’s the perfect colour for me and it lasts such a long time. Its a matte finish, but it’s not a drying finish where your face feels like it can’t breathe, do you get me or am I talking rubbish haha. I have the combination/oily foundation but they also do a combination/dry one too. And for £12.99 it definitely saved me money!
If you don’t own this you are mad! The all nighter spray from Urban Decay is honestly insane! I don’t use any other setting spray, but I may have to now as I just ran out of it and my student brain is telling me I shouldn’t buy it but my makeup demon sitting on my shoulder is telling me otherwise haha. Honestly though this setting spray keeps my makeup on all night or day, literally what it says on the label it does. For £23.50 its a little pricey but ya know ya girl loves it.
I couldn’t choose my favourite mascara, it was too hard!! They all do such amazing things! Roller Lash gives me length and doesn’t clump so gives me really natural but buildable lashes. L’oreal Paradise gives me volume and length. Then the Avon mascara gives me the buildable colour of black, that sounds stupid but you know what I mean right. Obviously they are slightly different price ranges, however they are all totally worth their price.
My favourite brow product will always be Ka-Brow and Gimme Brow from Benefit. I don’t know what it is about their brow products that makes them so amazing but you need them! The pomade is so creamy and the gimme brow gives you fuller looking eyebrows. I could go on for days talking about this eyebrow product but I can tell your already falling asleep haha. I’ve also been loving the Billion Dollar Brows Clear Brow Gel which I kindly got sent too. I sometimes prefer using a clear gel so it doesn’t add any extra colour so this is perfect for that purpose.
Last but not least lip products. I love any nude lip product or any pink toned lip product. These above are my favourite but the one I’ve been wearing a lot last month was the Revlon Ultra HD matte in seduction. Even though these are matte they are so creamy and don’t dry your lips out, which is good because this is something I suffer with. I got this for Christmas but for £6.99 I will definitely be picking these up in more colours.
Thank you so much for reading, leave a comment suggesting products I should try this month. I know I need to try the Revolution concealer and I am very late to that hype but all the stores near me were sold out ah! Don’t worry I’ll get on it. Have a lovely rest of the week.
