Friction Free Shaving: Everything you need to know

Friction Free Shaving: Everything you need to know

Good morning! Deadline day today ah, I am actually bricking it but nothing I can do now apart from hope for the best. Wish me luck guys. I was recently sent a razor that has been trending everywhere I look. The ‘Friction Free Shaving‘ brand is a subscription box that sends you two different types of razors and shaving cream to your door every month for just a £5. Bloody fantastic in my eyes! You also get 4 extra blades, which I find so helpful because I never know when to change the blade but with Friction Free Shaving you know exactly when to change it. Before I get on to review let me tell you a bit more about this fantastic subscription that every girl who hates shaving needs!

There are three razors that you can get:

Frankie – three blade head – £5.00
Rose – six blade head – £9.00
Silvia – six blade head – £9.00

I was really surprised when receiving this razor as I was expecting plastic, however there is nothing cheap and plastic about this shaver. It’s all metal! None of the crap ones you get from the high street that cost you a fortune, yet you have to replace every week. No! This comes with four extra blades to use over the month and it even tells you in the box what week to change the blades. SUPER easy for someone who has a brain like a sieve. Me for example haha. After your first subscription, you only then get the replacement blades and you can cancel or pause your subscription at any time.
We all know that not changing the razor head frequently is one disgusting and two bad for your health, due to the build up of bacteria causing rashes and irritation. Plus, who wants to have a shaving rash on a night out or even worse on date night, no thank you. This is why I personally think this subscription is so good to us girls, it gets you used to changing your blades regularly.

I find that women’s razors are so much worse than mens, which is so unfair because at the end of the day women have more to shave haha. Not with this razor though, this is literally a mens razor but in a prettier version. Especially in weight, I was not expecting it to be so heavy and it even comes with your name engraved. CUTE!
I kindly got sent the rose shaver, I was super excited when it arrived. It was really pretty and I squealed with joy when I saw my name engraved haha. I hate shaving, it is such a pain in the arse and sometimes especially in winter I put it off for too long. GROSS. I know, but ladies we’ve all done it. It’s clearly not the most exciting job in our pamper duties of being a women.

I bloody love this razor, it leaves your skin feeling so soft and the six blades on the head shave so close to your skin that it makes a huge difference from the cheap, tacky ones from the high street. The price is such a PLUS. It saddens me that this luxury will all be over in a month, I may just have to subscribe ah!

Thanks for reading lovelies,

Sophie Joan x

I agree shaving sucks. Is the razor and blades only available through the subscription? Or in the UK?

Haha I’m so embarrassingly lazy with changing my razor heads, or even shaving for that matter! This is a cool idea and surprisingly inexpensive. Loving that rose gold aesthetic too xx
