Hello my lovelies. Hope everyone is having a lovely week. I went to Marwell Zoo on Monday and it was amazing. Saw my favourite animal which are of course the penguins, they are just so cute! Today I wanted to talk about my concealer collection as I recently bought the new Boi-ing Benefit Concealers and then re-kindled with some old favourites too.
Boi-ing Benefit Brightening Concealer: £17.50
First of all, much cheaper than the previous Benefit concealers which I love but some may say still pricey. I say so worth the endless pennies we’ve been saving since we heard about the new beauties. I have to say after endless emails from Benefit of their release, I went in and got amazing customer service from a lovely lady. Unfortunately I don’t know her name but you were so helpful and chatty, so thank you. I have quite dark circles underneath my eyes so any brightening concealers are a must for me. The melon undertones of this concealer work miracles, an instant lift to the eyes. Blends out easily and doesn’t look cakey at all which I love because who wants to look like they have layers of makeup on. Comes in three different shades, I have this in the shade two which fits my skin tone perfectly. Quite frankly a blessing in my eyes.
Boi-ing Benefit Airbrush Concealer: £17.50
Benefit you do not upset me. I don’t think there’s one product I do not love from your brand. Amazing work. I have a lot of acne scars as I used to suffer quite bad with acne and also I’ve gained a lot of redness in my skin. Not happy. So when looking for a full coverage concealer a lot of them are very cakey and by the end of the day have dried up around my spots. Not a good look. This concealer is medium coverage but I do not joke when I say this is a buildable concealer that does not look cakey. Hallelujah. It’s so lightweight and soft on the skin which makes it so easy to blend out. I was shocked especially when by the end of the day it was still on my face. This also comes in three shades and again I have shade two. I have to say as well I am in love with the packaging, its gorgeous. They look like erasers. Love, love, love. Need everything Benefit.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer: £3.99
My holy grail of a concealer. I think we all lie if someone says they don’t own it because I swear the whole of the beauty world owns it. Who wouldn’t it’s an amazing concealer, its long wearing and steals away those blemishes. Comes in varied shades so you can match it with your skin tone and then use it for under the eyes in a lighter shade to brighten. It truly is remarkable and if you don’t own it, please, on the whole of the beauty world go buy it! As you can see in the photograph it is very well-loved and probably needs replacing soon, but the price is such a bargain so I’m not complaining.
Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer: £7.99
I love the packaging on this concealer, its super cute. I use this underneath my eyes and sometimes to do a base highlight before putting on a shimmery highlight, because I want to glowww. This works amazing underneath your eyes, I see an instant difference when putting it on one eye compared to the other. It is meant to illuminate dark circles and it sure does what it says on the packaging. Comes with a wand applicator which I find so easy to apply with and then I blend it out with my beauty blender or my buffer brush. Cute, little purchase.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Concealer: £5.49
I have to be truthful, this used to be one of my favourite concealers for a night out because it used to last a very long time without coming off. However, I used it the other day as if I’m honest I had forgotten I had it and I have to say to some people’s disappointment I do not love it anymore. Recently I have been suffering from a few break outs on my forehead and my chin so I wanted a full coverage concealer to hide those bad boys away. When I found this in my vanity I was so happy because it used to be amazing to cover spots. I was going to the zoo that day so I needed something to last on my face without looking like a mess. When applied I was disappointed as it looked very cakey where I had applied my concealer. Unfortunately I hadn’t even got out the house and it was already drying on my spots and coming off in places where I’m oily even though I had powered myself to death. By the end of the day where I had applied the concealer it had all come off. Sad to say but I won’t be using this again. Sorry Rimmel.
Well, that’s my concealer collection. Little I know but hey got to start somewhere. I would love to know your favourite concealer, maybe it will be the same as me or maybe I will have something to add to the collection to try out.
Thanks for reading.
