August Favourites

Hello my lovelies, no more interview series. (insert sad face) Honestly have had the best time getting to know all the amazing people in this creative industry. It has been a pleasure so thank you to everyone who took part and to whom kept reading the whole way through. I am conjuring up another two little series for my blog which is exciting, but I won’t let slip about them just yet. So, for now its back to lifestyle and beauty posts. I’ve missed a fair few monthly favourites, so I wanted to share with you the products I’ve been loving.

Dermalogica Essential Cleansing Solution –

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know I owe a massive thank you to this brand for saving my skin when I had acne. It is one of my favourite skin care brands and I will always stick by them. I’ve recently become part of their Skinfluencer programme, so keep an eye out for a post on the goodies they sent me. The essential cleansing solution makes my skin feel so clean, smooth and healthy. You only need a small amount and the pot lasts for ages. I am only half way through my second tub and I’ve been using this skin care product for over five years now. I would 100% recommend.

Neutrogena Facial Scrub –

Now while I don’t stray from Dermalogica products a lot apart from face masks, I’ve heard a lot about these scrubs so decided to check them out. My skin is sensitive so anything too abrasive and I look like a beetroot and my skin stings like a thousand bees have attacked me. I have been using this for quite a while although recently stopped using it as Dermalogica sent me their exfoliator. However, I did see a massive improvement in my skin. It didn’t feel as congested, my pores looked smaller and the amount of breakouts I was getting reduced. I used this morning and night and would say this has positively impacted my skin.

Urban Decay Heavy Metal Liner –

I received the next two products from Love Indulge who kindly sent me a package of makeup goodies. I don’t usually wear eyeliner but I can’t say no to glitter. Forever I’ve had my eye on the Stila glitter liners, but I can honestly say these are amazing. I haven’t yet used it as an eyeliner but I normally pop it over my eyeshadow and I am telling you now, it was popping. The glitter was shining from all angles. I need more!

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion –

This is a miracle cure in a bottle. For ages I have seen people rave about this product. ‘Miracle cures over night’ yeah right. I KID YOU NOT. This product proved me wrong. I don’t get many spots now which I am forever grateful for as I used to have bad acne which ruined my life. However when I do, I pop this on after cleansing, exfoliating, toner and moisturiser and by morning they are gone. Yep, you heard me. GONE. Its bloody magic and I 1000% recommend it to anyone who suffers with acne or the occasional spot.

Buxom Lip Plumping Balm  –

Love Indulge also sent me this amazing product. I love trying out lip products as they complete every look and this had everything you have ever needed in a lip balm. The colour was the perfect pink/nude and like Carmex, you get this tingling sensation which makes your lips feel like they are thirty million miles from your face. In terms of whether it actually does plump your lips, I would say to a certain degree they do. Praise the lord.

Almond Milk Body Yoghurt –

I have loved The Body Shop ever since my mum introduced me to it back when I was younger. Always loved their body butters, then this beauty came out. I’m that person that hates waiting for body moisturisers to dry before putting on clothes so this is a god send. It dries within 5 minutes and comes in all the usual scents that I love. Picked it up in mango and almond milk which I’ve fallen in love with.

Thanks for reading my lovelies, I will be back on Sunday to introduce my journey so far about being part of the Skinfluencer programme for Dermalogica and how I’ve got on with the products.
